When most U.S. businesses or offices are in need of a new phone system, the company they most often turn to is Avaya. Avaya designs and manufactures a complete line of phone equipment for traditional Telecommunications applications, and they do it extremely well. Avaya is a giant in the telephone industry. Their bread and butter product is their Partner phone system. Partner phone systems are used by countless businesses today because Partner phones offer all the features busy offices need, from conferencing to multiple lines to transfer, paging, and messaging capabilities. The list of options and specialty application modules that Avaya offers seems to be an endless list that can be customized to any changing business environment. Avaya Partner ACS. Avaya's PARTNER Advanced Communications System (ACS) is a flexible phone system that offers capabilities that streamline information flow, lower communication costs, and promise to help workers communicate more effectively. Features of the Avaya Partner Messaging system include Caller ID, DSL and T1 connectivity, wired and wireless handsets, and a wide variety of messaging options. Imagine having an inbound call ring at your desk, as well as on your wireless phone, or accessing voice messages from anywhere in the world, the Partner ACS system enables these features plus more. An easy modular design for feature additions (using PCMCI-based cards) enables business users to customize the system to meet their individual needs. Partner Messaging. Avaya offers two options, PARTNER voice messaging, and PARTNER messaging. Features available include Unified Messaging (voice and email integration), Auto Copy (allows consolidation of voice messages left in several boxes into a single voicemail box), Message Previews (flexible playback options), Centrex call transferring (allows messaging integration across multiple locations), and features for cell phone users that allow content scans with minimal keystrokes. to the 18D (2 line, caller Id, display, feature buttons) and the 34D, which expands the feature buttons and is suitable as an attendant console. Wireless handsets are also available in a full-featured Transtalk phone, or any cell phone can be integrated with the system using the Cell Phone Connect feature option. The model 18 (pictured) is a full-duplex speakerphone model that also has an analog interface for a modem or fax machine for about $135.
On the high end, the model 34 offers 32 programmable buttons with dual LEDs for line or feature appearances for about $180. This unit also includes an analog interface for a modem or faxes machine, a full-duplex speakerphone, and LCD display.
