In each case, the lowest model number represents entry-level equipment and features, with each incremental model number adding additional features. For wireless applications, Avaya has introduced the model 3410, which is a 900Mhz phone capable of roaming between base stations throughout a facility. Utilizing the MCU channel, base station mapping, channel assignment, and handoffs between base stations as users move throughout a facility in either indoor or outdoor locations (Avaya has designed its base stations suitable for outdoor/wet locations).
